Echoing the introspective desperation of the Manchester post-punk movement infused with modern day stylistics and groove, United perform songs that are loudly ethereal and yet achingly accessible. With musical influences ranging from Suede and the Psychedelic Furs to Echo & the Bunnymen and Gene, United succeeds in delivering a unique musical experience and enrapturing live shows.
British rockers Placebo heard the band's first demos following a friend's recommendation and helped United jump onto the musical map. Placebo felt an immediate kinship with the fellows and their music and invited the band to support them at several sold out shows during their 2003-2004 world tour. It was fun. More is to come.
